I am a certified and licensed school psychologist with over twenty years of experience working in schools as both a special educator and a school psychologist. I earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Special Education from The University of Florida and a Master’s and Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.
I have extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Giftedness, Intellectual Disability, and behavioral concerns. I have also provided individual and group counseling as well as social skills training to children with extreme behavioral concerns. I am passionate about student advocacy and hope to use my school experience and knowledge in private practice to help families navigate various aspects of the school system, including special education services and needs, eligibility requirements, Individual education Plans (IEPs), Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), and behavior plans. I am devoted to helping families determine types of accommodations that can benefit their children most in the school setting. I strive to support children and their families by working in partnership with school professionals to identify and access appropriate intervention services and accommodations to help them reach their overall potential at home, school and in the community. This strong home to school connection helps to produce positive and amazing outcomes.
When I am not working I love spending time at the beach, attending sporting events, working out, running, and spending time with family and friends.
