I am a licensed and Nationally Certified School Psychologist with prior experience working in the public schools prior to joining the Audra Walsh Psychology Group. I earned a Bachelors in Psychology from Eckerd College, as well as a Masters and Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. I have spent over fourteen years working with children, young adults, and their families providing mental health services in addition to targeted educational interventions.
My experience includes conducting comprehensive assessments of Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties/differences, Dyslexia, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), giftedness, Intellectual Disability, and other conditions that impact learning and behavior. I have worked extensively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and mental health challenges including aggression and oppositional behaviors, anxiety, executive functioning and attention difficulties, sensory difficulties, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopment disabilities. I believe in utilizing a client-centered treatment model and have experience with utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, social skills training, and applied behavior analysis. I value culturally-relevant and integrative evidence-based practice which teaches skills to promote positive emotions, academic and social success, and psychological well-being.
I enjoy spending my free time with my husband, family, friends, and dogs. I am passionate about animal rescue/adoption and social justice initiatives. My hobbies include listening to music/attending live concerts; traveling; cooking/baking/trying new foods; photography; paddle boarding; and playing strategy games.
