I am a Licensed School Psychologist and a National Certified School Psychologist working in both private practice and public schools in the Tampa Bay area. I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in the Psychology of Children with Exceptionalities from the State University of New York at Cortland in Upstate New York. I received my Masters and Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology from the University of South Florida. In addition, I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in School Psychology with a specialization in School-Based Mental Health from the University of South Florida.
I utilize a client-focused model tailoring treatment to each client’s needs and have experience with cognitive-behavioral and behavioral therapies, positive psychology, and motivational interviewing. I have worked with children, teens, and families with diverse backgrounds, abilities and mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, social deficits, executive functioning and attention problems, challenging behaviors, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and giftedness. I specialize in helping children, adolescents, and teens learn how to manage symptoms of anxiety and depression and adapt to their family and school environments. Most importantly I focus on individual strengths and work to provide each client with tools and skills they can use in their everyday lives.
I am a member of the National and Florida Associations of School Psychologists and the American Psychological Association. I live in Tampa with my fiancé and one-and-a-half-year-old Golden Retriever. We love spending time by our pool, at the beach, or listening to live music in the Tampa and St. Pete areas.
